Rich was a great friend, truly enjoyed life and found fun in everything. We had many interesting times together, like one Friday night as we were entering Bonds parking lot. Rich decided for fun to run his mothers car into the rear parking lot concrete wall! We jumped in the back seat and had a laugh when friends arrived. One of many stories, will miss you Rich.
I remember Richard Miller as quite a good boxer when quite young. He knocked down his YMCA boxing coach, Frank Ingalls, the father of a '64 graduate of the same name. Richard was challenged by a neighborhood friend of ours, D.L., and Richard beat him to a pulp. Interestingly though, years later Richard's losing opponent, having served in Vietnam, returned home, having earned both Silver and Bronze Stars.
