Good memories also of Jeff from Madrigils.  I posted a picture under my name of the 1963 Christmas Concert Cover, you'll love the picture of Joe Davis, Clarke Maylone, Jeff Riotte, Ralph Menke, Molly Crook, Carol Freyn and Diony Miller. Those of us from Madrigals have very fond memories together and with "Mac".

My memories of Jeff go to Madrigals and all the events we participated in as part of that group. He was always cheerful, even at the 7:30 AM rehearsals.... And his musical talent was really remarkable, even then...His obituary showed a life well lived that ended far too soon. It was an honor to have known him.

I never knew Jeff personally since I moved to Montclair in the 10th grade....but, I remember seeing his face in the halls. He did always seem happy. Sad he went so soon....

I met Jeff as we entered the high school as a stranger and graduated three years later with him being one of my best friends.  We shared a lot of laughs at school events, evenings hanging out and finally time spent over college breaks.  My family and Jeff's got together while our respective sons were young and, unfortuntely, life happened and we lost touch.  When we reconnected prior to the 50th reunion, I was thrilled that we would see each other again.  We happened to meet parking our cars in the Tierney's parking lot and picked up where we left off.  A lot of stories over the next few days.

This past weekend, Ellen and I went to Jeff's memorial celebration on his beloved Martha's Vineyard.  As the napkins said, Jeff would have called the day a ten - a brilliant sunny, dry day.  Stories were shared by his sons, Sam (a dead ringer of his father) and Toby.  His closest friends shared some funny stories about his adventures and mis-adventures on the Vineyard. The picture below was taken when he was the unofficial grand marshall at a July 4th parade - I know he will be watching this weekend.  My take is that "Jeffie" was a force of nature on the Vineyard whether teaching tennis, off birdwatching, or sipping Cointreau on his porch. He left his mark as attested by about 200 friends and family attending the celebration.  I will miss him a lot.  Rest in peace, Jeff.

So many wonderful things said about Jeff, who was clearly loved by so many throughout his life. He was such a good guy in high school, it doens't seem possible that he is no longer with us.

Dave and I offer our condolences to Jeff's family and all those who loved him. The world will miss you, Jeff.
