I found a notice/obituary in the Star Ledger which said that Sue passed away on March 22, 2006.  (She lived around the corner from me on South Mountain Ave.)

Schroeds and I were very good friends and went to college in NYC together. She was an amazing artist.
we stayed in touch for many years. Her sister Gay moved to Mercer Island, WA and we became friends.
She divored and moved away. I learned of Sues death one xmas when we were visiting our kids in seattle
we had moved to vermont in 1998. It was a total shock. She was a very special person and I will always remember what great times we had together in her south mountain house with her standard poodles and her interesting mother and house keeper, whose name I have forgotten. Her dad was always smoking a pipe.

Sue developed a highly successful business faux painting homes in northern New Jersey, especially Summit, Madison and Chatham and was in great demand.  As a Realtor, I saw her work all over and heard her name referred to many. Sadly, she died of an aneurism while working at the home of a friend...We will toast her memory at the reunion, right Hawks ?

absolutely Molly... it was awful to loose her so early and such a talent!!

We didn't live together in NYC but we did much together and used to study in her basement apartment on the upper eastside... it was a very cool place. We decided to try out to be GO GO dancers at this club we liked. I remember putting on white boots, lots of make up, ironing my long curly hair straight and getting into a cage and dancing... of course we didn't get the job! but we sure thought we were pretty hot tickets! We loved the Birds (not the kind in trees!) and used to swoon over the drummer.... they played in a few small clubs around town. that certainly was a great way to start life! I moved to San Francisco in 1969 and never returned to the eastcoast until Murph and I decided to work for the Orvis company in southern Vermont. Anyways, lots of fond memories of Sue Shroeder and her big family and huge house with huge dogs!!
